The only markings are the serial # T 859 which is stamped on the butt plate, bottom of barrel and written inside action. It has 8 lands and grooves. It had a 8# trigger. I'm not sure if that refers to original Mowrys or the later Mowreys made in Olney, TX. Which ever it is I have the opposite problem. The hammer spring is extremely stiff.
